Explore Coding and Creativity with mBot and Gamefroot.

In this course, upper elementary students will explore robotics, coding, and game design using mBot and Gamefroot, a beginner-friendly game development platform. Through hands-on, project-based learning, students will explore programming, electronics, and creative problem-solving as they navigate robotics challenges, design interactive projects that resemble real-world scenarios, and create their games.

Course Goals:

• Develop a Solid Understanding of Robotics and Coding Concepts: Students will learn the essential principles of robotics and coding and apply them to hands-on projects.
• Build and Program Interactive Projects Using LEDs and Electronic Components: Students will engage in hands-on projects that involve programming LEDs and other electronic components. This practical experience will help solidify their understanding of how hardware and software work together to create interactive devices.
• Design and Create Games with Gamefroot:Students will utilize the Gamefroot platform to create their own games, learning about game mechanics, designing characters, and enhancing user experience to craft engaging gameplay.
• Enhance Problem-Solving and Collaborative Skills: Students will collaborate on group projects and challenges to address complex problems in robotics and coding. This teamwork-focused approach will help them build essential communication and critical-thinking skills.
