KCC Instructor Development Program
KCC Instructor Development Program
Class 8: Aug 6 - Sep 17, 2026
KCCID was created to help coaches, instructors and serious practitioners dive deeper into the techniques and concepts, and learn the teaching methodologies and program development of the KCC program.
The program is six weeks long, which allows the participants to fully absorb the drills, and lessons, as well as put them actively into place. With a mixture of physical training, educational lectures, receiving and giving feedback on movements, coaching assignments, and lesson building, we look to develop a holistic teacher.
Live Training Sessions:
Each week, we will meet for a two hour live training session over Zoom. During this session we will work through physical drills, practice identifying mistakes, and generating good cueing to assist each other, and students. There are seven total sessions across the program.
Live sessions for class 8 will take place primarily on Thursdays from 2-4pm eastern time, with the exception of week 3 and week 4, which will take place on Tuesday at the same time. Official Dates listed at the end of this document.
Physical Techniques and Concepts:
The KCCID program covers our Foundations of Control in its entirety as well as elements from our KCC2 program. This includes primary stand up control positions, low risk takedowns, top control on the ground (prone and supine attacker), breakdowns, scrambles, clothing/equipment grabs, arm locks, and staples.
Video Homework:
Each week, participants will be assigned a series of videos to study covering physical skills that will be drilled in the following live training session, as well as video discussions on teaching methods, core concepts, and program development.
Coaching Assignments:
Each week participants will have one coaching assignment to help actively practice coaching, developing lesson plans, and presenting information clearly. These assignments are a mixture of creating videos, giving feedback on students movements, generating a class plan, and creating new drills.
Active Feedback and Critique:
Participants will be required to post at least one training video each week for the group to look over. Participants will be required to give feedback on peers movements and coaching, as well as engage in feedback given to them. This helps build a deeper understanding of coaching, and how to engage directly with others' thoughts.
Graduation:
For participants to be eligible to graduate, they must complete all coaching assignments, submit all training videos, engage each week in active feedback, watch all training videos in their entirety, and attend a minimum of five of the seven training sessions.
Debrief Call:
Each group will schedule a designated debrief call to discuss individual feedback, goals, and ask any questions directly about the program, and coaching. These sessions will be scheduled during the final two weeks of the class.
Registration:
Registration will open Monday July 13th and Close Officially on Sat August 1st.
Enrollment is $1200 for TWO participants. Each additional participant in a group is $400. Each group may enroll as many individuals as they would like, and must have a minimum of two.
You may secure your spot for $600, with the remainder being paid no later than September 1st
There are no additional affiliation fees or contracts after the program concludes.
