Embroidering Winter: Poetry Writing & Ornament Making [ages 13-17]

Learn about how poets have written about the winter season and all the joy, love, and wonder it can bring. Then begin writing your own winter poem and pick out its most evocative word or phrase to embroidery onto a felt ornament! Students will leave class with their own hand stitched felt ornament and a deeper look at how poets use winter to inspire.
