Accreditation
This course is approved and accepted through BCCSA as an NCSO‑designated course. Our instructors are trained and certified by Fusion Safety Services, a licensed BCCSA Approved Training Provider.
Course Overview
This one‑day course is designed for workers entering or working in or around confined and restricted spaces who require training to perform their duties safely. Instruction includes a PowerPoint presentation, class exercises, videos, and a written knowledge test.

- Definition of Confined and Restricted Spaces
- Training and competency requirements
- Hazard recognition, evaluation, and control
- Completing a hazard assessment
- Classification of Confined Space levels
- Legislative requirements (Safety and Protection)
- Hazardous substances and energy isolation
- Atmospheric testing
- Ventilation and purging
- Neutralization and inerting
- Entry permit systems
- Confined Space Standby Monitor responsibilities
- Emergency response
- Personal Protective Equipment
- Key definitions
Course Credits:
- 1 CCA Gold Seal Credit

Virtual Classroom Requirements
- Computer with reliable internet access
