Sewing: Repurpose a Pair of Jeans

AGES: 13-17

Bring a pair of old jeans from your closet or the thrift store to make the coolest bags ever! We’ll learn some hand embroidery and other techniques for embellishment, how to sew a lining into a bag, and how to insert a zipper. This class is for those who already know how to use a sewing machine, but we’ll practice some basic skills to brush up if you feel a little uncertain. Students should provide their own pair of jeans, but all other materials will be provided.

When: Mondays, 3 - 4:30 pm
Location:
Tower Room, 3rd Floor
