Join colleagues from across the Coastal Partnerships Network for two days of shared learning, discussion and collaborative planning.

Taking place during CPN’s 20th anniversary year, the Forum will bring together Coastal, Estuary and Marine Partnerships - CEMPs - alongside researchers, policy colleagues, project officers and partner organisations from across the UK.

The Forum will connect emerging research and policy with practical, locally led delivery. It will provide space to exchange knowledge, explore shared challenges and help shape the messages and priorities that will support the future of coastal partnerships.

A distinctive coastal setting

The Forum will be held at Tinside Lido, a Grade II-listed Art Deco landmark overlooking Plymouth Sound.

With its recently restored event spaces and sun terrace, this waterfront venue provides a fitting setting for conversations about people, place and the future of our coast. The sun terrace will also host an informal Forum BBQ dinner at the end of the first day.

What to expect

The programme will include:

• Research and policy insights on marine nature recovery and marine planning
• Preliminary findings from CPN’s first national CEMP monitoring and evaluation work
• Workshops focused on advocacy and communicating our collective impact
• Participant-led discussions on the challenges and opportunities facing CEMPs
• Collaborative development of CPN’s national messages and future priorities
• Opportunities to build relationships and share experience across the network
• An informal Forum BBQ dinner on the Tinside Lido sun terrace
• CPN’s Annual General Meeting following the main Forum programme on Thursday

This is a working Forum as well as an opportunity to connect with colleagues. Participants will be invited to contribute their knowledge and help identify practical priorities for CPN’s next chapter.

Whether you bring academic research, policy expertise, project delivery experience or community knowledge, your perspective is part of the conversation. Together, we aim to develop:

• A stronger shared understanding of emerging research, policy and evidence
• Clearer priorities for national advocacy and locally relevant delivery
• Messages and stories that represent the breadth of the CEMP network
• New connections and opportunities for collaboration
• Practical next steps that participants and CPN can take forward
• A lasting, collective legacy for coastal partnerships

Tickets

• CEMP representatives: £95 per person
• Non-CEMP attendees: £130 per person

Please select the appropriate ticket type when booking. Your ticket provides access to the two-day Forum programme and the informal BBQ dinner.

Places are limited, so early booking is recommended.

Catering and dietary requirements

Catering will be provided during the Forum, and all dietary requirements will be accommodated.

Arriving in Plymouth on Tuesday 15 September? Forum attendees can also join a free, optional boat trip around Plymouth Sound aboard SD Padstow.
