Gold - Whanganui
Ideal for experienced riders looking to hone specific technical aspects of riding and riding styles. Groups can determine their own course content for the day.
What you’ll get out of it
The flexibility of the Gold course means the outcomes will relate to your needs. Typical areas of focus include riding in groups, riding with a pillion, counter steering and advanced cornering.
On the day
The day begins with a briefing and safety check then moves onto a mix of urban and rural roads. Some roads will be more challenging with higher speed sections. Practicing skills may take place off-highway with several stops for assessment, including a lunch break.
Ensure you wear protective motorcycle clothing, top to toe, and money to buy lunch. Also make sure your machine is warranted, registered and roadworthy and arrive with a full tank of fuel.
Please remove any communication device on your helmet as one will be supplied. If you have a comfy pair of in-ear headphones with a standard 3.5mm jack (mobile phone size), then do bring them along.
Relevant Feedback
Enjoyed the site, classroom discussion, critical insights and demonstrations too. Phillips has an easy style of teaching which was inclusive to all of us. The on-road critique was my highlight, great tips for understanding the ‘why’, will use all of them to finesse my riding. Fantastic day!
Great day. Most informative. I am now aware of some faults I had as a rider. Phil was very friendly and approachable. He explained the technical stuff in a manner fitting the group.
Very good presentation, knowledgeable and practical information with enjoyable riding experience, thanks for a great learning opportunity.
