Junior Lifeguard Club - Beginner
*** Beginners ***
Junior Lifeguard Club is a new adventure for your child. Participants aged 8-15 will be taught important skills for future lifeguards, including first aid, lifesaving decision making, leadership, as well as improving their fitness and endurance. This is a great way to prepare to take Bronze Medallion and Cross or if your child is looking for a new adventure in the pool!
This is a new level, giving opportunity to students to get extra practice on their swimming skills, while still having some lifesaving fun! Egg-beater, whip kick and scissor kick are our lifesaving kicks and important to skills throughout future courses. Front crawl, back crawl and breaststroke will also be fine tuned in this level.

Relevant Feedback
Excellent instructors. Great guidance and instructions. Our son really enjoyed the Vancouver Lifeguard Cross Practice sessions. Pleased to highly recommend VLA to everyone looking to develop their swimming and lifeguarding skills.
Great program - kids have fun in and out of the water while learning.
Love that kids were graded not only on their current level, but were given credit for a higher level if they were able to complete/achieve the goal. Not sure if this is still the case anymore as we did not get back the progress report that we brought on the first day of class.
Great way for kids to start training for the requirements of Bronze Medallion. Thanks so much for putting on this class
