We’re excited to invite participants from our Fall Cooking & Nutrition Programs to a special The Gathering Table Field Trip – Apple Adventure!
We’re heading out of the city for a day of exploring local food, farms, and the people who grow and produce it.
We’ll spend some time at Martin’s Fruit Farm, learning about different apple varieties, how they’re grown, and different ways we can enjoy and use apples in our kitchens. Along the way, we’ll also stop at a small Mennonite farm where they sell farm-fresh eggs and seasonal produce. It will be a great opportunity to see and learn a little more about local food and farming in our community.
Transportation
A bus will be provided to and from the Cambridge Food Bank.
Please Note: When completing the registration form, please indicate whether you will be driving yourself and will not require transportation.
- Departure: 10:00 AM from the Cambridge Food Bank
- Return: Approximately 2:00 PM to the Cambridge Food Bank
Registration is required. Spaces are available on a first come, first served basis.
