Strengthening Your Integrity Framework

From careful recruitment to effective internal reporting.

Training overview

Integrity risks require attention throughout the employment relationship: when someone joins the organisation and when concerns arise during their employment.

This masterclass brings together two complementary components of an effective integrity framework: risk-based employment screening and well-structured internal reporting and whistleblowing arrangements.

Participants explore relevant CGA and CBCS integrity and governance guidelines and their practical implications for screening, reporting and decision-making. The focus is on proportionate measures, clear responsibilities and well-documented decisions.

A practical case connects both topics, following an employee from recruitment through to an integrity concern arising during employment.

Learning objectives

After completing this masterclass, participants will be able to:

  • Explain how employment screening and internal reporting contribute to an organisation’s integrity framework.
  • Identify relevant CGA and CBCS integrity and governance expectations.
  • Apply a risk-based and proportionate approach to employment screening.
  • Recognise key legal and ethical considerations in screening and handling reports.
  • Identify the essential elements of an effective whistleblowing framework.
  • Assess incoming integrity concerns and determine appropriate initial follow-up and escalation.
  • Identify practical improvements to their organisation’s policies, responsibilities and documentation.

Target audience

This masterclass is designed for professionals in organisations supervised by CGA and/or CBCS, including:

  • HR professionals, recruiters and hiring managers
  • Compliance Officers and compliance staff
  • Risk managers and internal auditors

Why attend this masterclass?

A screening process and a reporting policy are most effective when they support each other. Together, they help organisations recognise integrity risks earlier, respond carefully to concerns and make consistent, well-documented decisions.

This masterclass helps you connect both processes and identify practical ways to strengthen your organisation’s integrity framework.
