A Lotte Horses

Thank you so much for the amazing week! Ada had so much fun, gained confidence and made new friends.

Our scouting troop’s best evening yet! We had eight riders ranging from experienced to never have been on horseback, and Shushiela prepared for us all a memorable encounter with horses! From the planning of the event to its closing, she demonstrated an amazing ability to organize a positive and safe adventure for our girls. The teen junior guides are bright, kind and hard working; they are great examples to the younger visitors. We will certainly be planning another pony party!

We did one week and it was my 5yo’s favorite camp this summer. It was such a great experience for her. She has already requested we sign her up for multiple weeks next summer!

Amazing class, Ms. Lotte is truly one of the best.

I really like my experience and had fun learning how to do things I hadn’t learned yet! Lotte is a great teacher and the horses are very sweet and fun to be with!

Thank you so much for enriching my children and bringing them so much joy. A Lotte Horses has given my children an opportunity that you can not find anywhere else.

Jr Apprentice Program and every class my daughter has attended has offered her a sense of confidence that no other activity has been able to provide. Lotte and her team understand children and their natural connection with horses (and all the other critters on the property), and how to foster the required responsibility to take care of them. I’ve never seen my daughter love hard work as much as she does at Lotte’s. Their priority is ‘connection’ and is truly a calming place to be.

My kid loved the camp.

Specifically, he loved the animals and the (supervised) responsibility of taking care of them while enjoying the company of other kids and the camp instructors and jr. staff. Although this week was short (3 days) My kid came home very dusty, happy, and calm AND with several stories about what happened at camp (which animals he visited, which horse he rode, where they rode, etc.). In addition, he came home with hand crafted natural salves and ointments (that he is very proud of having made himself with the help of Lotte instructors).

The group is pretty diverse in terms of gender, ages, and ethnic groups.

My kids have done other equestrian camps around Ventura county, but Lotte appears to have more diverse and slightly larger size groups and larger and better schedule.

Needless to say, we are looking forward to doing Lotte again. We are even considering taking adult riding classes.

My daughter had a wonderful time at camp this summer. Her wishes came true and in fact her experience became more than what she wished for. I know she is grateful, not only for getting to ride ponies and at the end, the big horse, Pepe, but she was also deeply entrenched in the craft time which she continued at home with enthusiasm. I witnessed my nearly 8 year old daughter being encouraged and allowed to be a leader at the camp which was so awesome. Lotte, Sushila, and Heather are women to be trusted and that my daughter loves dearly! As a single mom, it’s extremely difficult to afford these things but it is important to my daughter and I am going to try to figure out how to make this work moving forward.

I purchased a group lesson for my sister to celebrate her birthday and made it part of a spoil-your-sister weekend. We had SO much fun! My husband got onto a horse for the first time and loved it so much he wants lessons now.
My sis-in-law rode after expressing concerns about being afraid of horses and she felt she connected to Ferrari and wasn’t at all afraid. I rode my horse along and it was an amazing afternoon. Thank you Lotte and Shushila for help with spoiling my family. Thank you for sharing your big furry babies with us!

Absolutely wonderful introduction to horses. Sushila and Heather both immediately made Charlie feel comfortable, and he loved every part of every day at the ranch. We will be back :)

I’ve seen the skill and technique in my child’s riding improve with each lesson at the ranch. He can’t wait to return for more.

Caleb had an absolutely wonderful time and is looking forward to his next day out at the ranch. He was especially touched that he was able to ride his requested horse, Viva, and appreciated being heard.

We have been whole heartedly happy with our experience riding at A Lotte Horses. The teaching style is supportive and hands on, allowing our daughters to gain so much confidence and enthusiasm. The ranch itself is beautiful and so full of life. We can’t wait for our next session!

My grandson is taking lessons and he wants to be at the stable everyday. He is so excited about riding and caring for the big animals and the small ones. This is an invaluable experience for a child. They learn responsibility, empathy, self confidence all while gaining whole body control and muscle.
How many of us prefer to see less devices in the hands of our kids and grands? Check this out. I can’t recommend this more highly.

Once again I had a fabulous experience and one I will continue. Lotte has volumes of experience to share and we worked through a lot of issues and miscommunications I have had with my own horse while learning dressage as a senior. I am truly living my best life.

Amazing experience. The horses were so beautiful and sweet. Sushila and her daughter were just as sweet and patient. We got the full beginners experience from grooming to cleaning to riding.

I had such an amazing experience. I’m an inexperienced rider and the guidance I received made me feel confident. I can’t wait till my next lesson. Also, pepe the horse is amazing!

Wonderful event. Everyone had so much fun and learned a lot.

My daughter really enjoyed her session and would really love to continue on a regular basis. I liked that it’s not just riding and the kids learn how to care for the horses.

It has been an amazing blessing to watch Lotte turn my young girl into a confident young woman. This jumping and dressage combo class has given her lots of opportunities to jump and practice a good balanced seat. My daughter always gives A Lotte Horses 5-stars and two thumbs up.

A Lotte Horses is a fabulous riding school. The instructor is amazing. She supports the riders in such a way that they are confident to ride and jump the best lesson horses ever.
