What a fabulous day of sailing with Dave and Annalise! I learned so much and had a lot of fun along the way. I really appreciated their approach to introducing me to the basics of sailing. It was supportive, adapted to my skill level (very much a novice) and, especially, hands on. I never imagined I would be tacking a sailboat in a channel near Salt Spring Island, but there I was doing that today! And I felt safe and in very good hands every step of the way.

The entire day exceeded my expectations – a brilliant first time on a sailboat indeed. Great instruction, fun conversation, and I was made to feel comfortable at every point. In addition to having a spectacular day on the water, I learned a lot and have a new appreciation for and attitude toward sailing!

Yesterday, along with 2 of our friends, we spent a day with Annalise and Dave in the “Discovery Sailing” class. As first time sailors, we not only learned a lot about sailing but had so much fun doing so. Dave and Annalise are not only master sailors but also master teachers. We could participate to the degree that we felt comfortable. Annalise and Dave were so supportive and encouraging, we were soon excited to try almost all aspects of sailing the 28-foot keelboat! And, even more importantly, we saw beauty from every direction out on the water. Annalise and Dave wove safety, storytelling and teaching into a perfect day for our group. Thank-you, Dave and Annalise!

It was a stellar day on the water! I highly recommend anyone interested in sailing and learning to sail to plan their experience with Wild About Sailing. The instructors were patient, encouraging, and entertaining, all the while holding safety as the priority.

Great day on the water! A day sail to gain some experience for my wife and refamiliarize myself with keelboats. What an absolutely wonderful weekend!!
Not only did I learn a ton but we all had so much fun, I’m kinda thinking Dave did too!
We were provided in advance all the necessary pre-course study information so that Saturday and Sunday were an action packed weekend of hands on sailing. Dave’s years of sailing, racing and instructing experience lent itself to a very comfortable, open, safe learning environment. So much imparted knowledge. Thank you Dave and Anneliese. I can’t wait for my next course!!
