Thank you for visiting my 2026 art class schedule. All classes are taught in my Laporte art studio, a small town 10 minutes outside of Fort Collins, Colorado. Classes are small and intimate with lots of personal instruction and attention.
I love sharing my studio with you. The painting and drawing process is not about getting an exact copy. More importantly, the lesson is about learning to 'see' - learning to make educated and creative decisions on shape, color, value, and composition. Most classes are conducted in oils and for all levels of experience. Some of the classes are open for all mediums.
Classes are paid for before the start of the class. You may register with credit card or send check/cash payment prior to class through this site, CORSIZIO, a registration platform. Cancellations are allowed up to 7 days before class or you may transfer registrations to another class. Directions to studio and supply lists will be sent upon registration.

Comfortable ,inviting atmosphere
Jeanne is an excellent instructor. She provided lots of information and color mixing exercises. She provided all materials as well as a notebook to hold the many pages of information and charts. She also showed several paintings and explained how colors were used in the paintings. Time was put to good use.

I had a wonderful time in this class and came away with so many more skills, insights and understanding of the oil painting process.
As always, another excellent art class by Jeanne Mackenzie. I learned a lot about single, double and triple point linear perspective along with Atmospheric perspective. I look forward to using some new techniques in my paintings. Great class!

What a wonderful class and a great group of people to paint with! I learned so much! The places we painted were so much fun to visit and I feel like Jeanne went above and beyond to make this such a great experience! I wish I lived closer, but I’m hoping to be out that way again to take more classes from her.
The weekend workshop was amazing. Jeanne had organized everything so that we could focus on learning. Her expert guidance and demos were so helpful! The weekend elevated my skills to a new level!
No suggestions for improvement, I thought the 3 days were extremely valuable, especially the color matching exercise. I indeed do have more Color Confidence now, thanks Jeanne!
