Terms and Conditions – THE HOUSE OF DRAMA

Provider: THE HOUSE OF DRAMA
Program: After school Drama classes
Location: 1 Jirrah Ave, Point Clare, NSW, 2250
Effective Date: Date of enrolment

These Terms and Conditions form an agreement between THE HOUSE OF DRAMA (β€œwe”, β€œus”, β€œour”) and the parent/guardian (β€œyou”, β€œyour”) of the student (β€œparticipant”) enrolled in our after-school drama program.


1. Enrolment

1.1 Enrolment is confirmed once a completed enrolment form and full payment (or agreed payment plan) have been received.
1.2 Enrolments are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
1.3 Each enrolment covers the specific term or session period. Re-enrolment is required each term.
1.4 We reserve the right to refuse or cancel enrolment at our discretion.


2. Fees and Payment

2.1 All fees are payable in advance, by the due date stated on your invoice or enrolment confirmation.
2.2 Fees are non-refundable except as outlined in Section 6.
2.3 Late payments may result in your child being unable to attend classes until payment is received.
2.4 Any discounts (e.g., sibling discounts) must be applied at the time of enrolment and cannot be backdated.
2.5 Payment methods accepted: card payment via online portal.


3. Attendance and Supervision

3.1 Parents/guardians are responsible for arranging safe and timely drop-off and collection of their child.
3.2 Supervision is provided only during scheduled class times.
3.3 Participants must be collected promptly at the end of class. A late collection fee may apply for repeated lateness.
3.4 Missed classes due to illness, holidays, or personal reasons are non-refundable. Make-up class are not offered.


4. Behaviour and Participation

4.1 Students are expected to behave respectfully toward staff, other participants, and the venue property.
4.2 We reserve the right to suspend or terminate enrolment if behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, or disrespectful.
4.3 Bullying, harassment, or exclusionary behaviour will not be tolerated.
4.4 Participants are encouraged to join in and try their best β€” we celebrate effort, teamwork, and creativity.


5. Health, Safety, and Medical

5.1 Parents/guardians must disclose any relevant medical, behavioural, or developmental information on the enrolment form.
5.2 Participants who are unwell (including with contagious symptoms) must not attend class.
5.3 In the event of illness or injury during class, we will provide first aid and contact the parent/guardian immediately.
5.4 In an emergency, you authorise us to seek medical treatment as necessary.
5.5 All instructors hold current Working with Children Checks and adhere to NSW Child Safe Standards.


6. Cancellations, Refunds, and Class Changes

6.1 If you cancel your enrolment more than 7 days before the term starts, you may receive a refund minus a $10 administration fee.
6.2 No refunds are issued once the term has commenced, except in exceptional circumstances at our discretion.
6.3 If we must cancel a class (e.g., due to illness, venue unavailability, or emergencies), a credit, or refund will be offered.
6.4 If a class needs to be moved online due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., public health restrictions), refunds will not apply.


7. Venue and Personal Property

7.1 Classes are held at Point Clare Girl Guides Hall, a shared-use community facility.
7.2 We are not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings brought to class.
7.3 Please ensure all personal items are clearly labelled.
7.4 Food and drinks (other than water) are not permitted inside the hall unless approved for a special event.


8. Photography, Media, and Performances

8.1 Photos or videos may be taken during classes, rehearsals, or performances for promotional or educational purposes.
8.2 You may opt out of media consent by indicating this on your enrolment form.
8.3 Participants may be invited to perform or showcase work at public events; details will be communicated in advance.


9. Liability and Insurance

9.1 All reasonable care is taken to ensure the safety of participants.
9.2 Participation involves some physical activity; by enrolling, you accept that your child participates at their own risk.
9.3 We maintain current public liability insurance appropriate to the activities conducted.
9.4 Parents/guardians remain responsible for children outside of official class times.


10. Communication

10.1 Updates and class notices will be sent via email, SMS, or our nominated communication platform.
10.2 It is your responsibility to ensure your contact details remain current.


11. Agreement

By enrolling your child, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
