Play Therapy CE Training Cancellation and Refund Policy

This policy is intended to create a transparent and equitable process for participants, while also honoring the significant effort and preparation that goes into offering each CE workshop or course.

General Policies

• • All training courses are subject to a minimum number of participant registration.
  • Play therapy credit is awarded only to mental health professionals, as detailed by APT guidelines.
  • No partial CE credit is available. Participants must attend the entire training or complete the full non-contact course (including post-test) to receive credit.
  • No refunds will be given for any course in which a CE certificate has already been issued.
  • Participant information, quiz results, and certificates are stored securely for five (5) years for audit purposes.

Participant Cancellation

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to DrPizarro@DrCharissaPizarro.com.

The date your email is received will determine the applicable refund or credit

amount:

• • 30 or more days before the workshop: Full refund minus a $35 administrative fee.
  • 15–29 days before the workshop: 50% refund.
  • 14 days or fewer before the workshop: No refund.

Transfer Option: Instead of a refund, participants may transfer their payment to a future workshop within one year, provided notice is given at least 30 days in advance. This transfer option may be used once only.

Participant No-Show

Participants who do not attend and fail to provide notice will not receive a refund.

Extenuating Circumstances

In cases of documented medical emergencies, severe weather preventing travel, or other serious unforeseen circumstances, participants may appeal the policy by contacting us as soon as possible. Requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Workshop Cancellation by Provider

If a training is canceled by the provider due to insufficient registration, presenter illness, weather, or technical issues, participants will be notified via their registration email. Registrants will be offered either:

1. 1. A full refund, or
   2. Transfer of registration to another available training course at no cost.

Substitutions

A registered participant may transfer their registration to another individual up to 48 hours prior to the training at no cost, provided written notice is given.

How to Cancel

To cancel, email DrPizarro@DrCharissaPizarro.com with your full name, the name and date of the workshop, and the reason for cancellation.

Complaints & Resolution

Attendees with concerns, complaints, or requests for accommodations may submit them in writing to the Continuing Education Program Administrator at DrPizarro@DrCharissaPizarro.com.

All concerns will be reviewed promptly, fairly, and in alignment with APT

Standards.
